Zakk the Soccer Player

This spring was Zakk's first ever activity! If I thought I was busy hauling two kids to their activities, I'm really in for some craziness.

The beginning of the season started slow. It was cold and Zakk had to be bribed into doing anything and that didn't even always work.

Practices were just getting them used to kicking the ball so they did various activites like banana freeze tag.  Zakk would get so mad when somebody tagged him that he would start yelling.  Here he is actually doing it. If he was tagged, he would have to stand frozen with his arms in the air like a banana and someone would have to come over and peel him to unfreeze him.  At least my kid isn't the one with his head inside his mom's jacket (on the right)...ha ha!
Luckily during practices, they encourage parents and sisters to help him which sometimes overwhelmed him but he got used to it.

This was the last day of practice and they were all lined up and Zakk had to kick the ball between the goal to get their medal.
It was so cute because Zakk thinks the back of his medal says, "I kicked the ball!"

He seemed to really like it and it's a good thing because daddy wants to try hockey next!
