4th of July (Day #3 of our vacation)

Finally, we are all back home and settled in so now it's time to share the rest of our vacation! We spent the 4th of July in Chicago.  Mainly to see the fireworks show at The Navy Pier!
The Magnificent Mile
We started off the day eating breakfast at our hotel and then set off for the Magnificent Mile.  Our first stop was The Hershey Store where the girls got to pretend to be factory workers to fill up their bucket with chocolates!

After that guess where we went...The American Girl store! The girls definitely had fun in there. I have to say it's pretty neat...like a little museum with different room scenes decorated in different time periods that the dolls were from.
even the bathroom was super cute!

tyler wants someone to build her one of these!

We wanted to go to Legoland next but found out that it was a long ways away so we settled for The Lego Store which was just as fun for the kiddos!

can you believe this is made of legos...amazes me since I can barely build a simple lego city car!

After the lego store we ate lunch and took the subway to The Sears Tower (which is now The Willis Tower)!

The Willis Tower from the street...whoa!

My girls were so brave to stand out on the skydeck.  Notice that there are buildings underneath them. And notice that my boys are nowhere to be seen...weenies!

After all the visits to Chicago that Kevin & I have been on, this is the first time we went up into The Sears Tower. Probably because Kevin is not to fond of heights. I'm glad we went, it was a good sight!

Later that evening we took a trolly to The Navy Pier to watch the fireworks display and I have no pictures to show because halfway there I realized that I left my camera in the hotel room...bummer. It was a beautiful show but it was super crowded. We missed sitting on our deck watching the fireworks show from the backyard!
