Our big news is that Kevin received the Circle of Excellence Award at Sprint this year. So we get to go on an all expense paid vacation to Coronado, California. I'm so excited! We get to stay at the Hotel del Coronado which, from what I've been told, is AMAZING!
Kevin has really went to town on the basement. I have had no desire to help him with this but Zakk has been all about it! We are actually getting the carpet installed in about a week and Shaun built us a bar that is right under the Chiefs Arrowhead. It looks pretty slick!
Girl Scout Thinking Day was in February. Tyler's troop was Switzerland and they made paper Swiss Army Knives and gave away Hot Chocolate!
Tyler and Kaitlyn made their flag out of duct tape. These girls act like they're shy but we all know better than that.
Logan's troop was Italy this year and they made pasta braclets and snacked on bread and dipping oil.
Here they're trying to match the pasta
with the name of the pasta. It wasn't easy!
Zakk had a spirit week...pj day, crazy sock day, hat/crazy hair day and team sports day! The very first day, I forgot to dress him in pj's so guess what I had to do after I dropped him off? Well, he's wearing his pj's...
The girls both finished up their season in volleyball at the New Century Field House. This is the first time I've experience the fieldhouse here in Gardner but I'm very impressed (probably because it's still fairly new). Tyler is on a new team this year with a couple of girls that she knows but a new coach. Logan gets to play with the same girls/coaches as she has been playing with through softball and volleyball through Gardner Parks & Rec.
Logan's big thing was getting her overhand serve over the net this year and finally by the end of the season, she got it over in the last game! She was soooo excited!
Logan's team, "The Dynamites" ended their season with 2nd place in their division and they received medals and trophies!
Tyler's team ended with a trip to Cherry Berry! And Tyler talked me into playing another session and her team moved up to the 7th and 8th grade division. It will be a challenge but I think it will make them better players!
We are still spending every Saturday morning and two other nights a week at KC Ice Center. I LOVE watching them play hockey! This is a little video of them in the mini mites league. Now they have moved up to Squirts. I'll have more video of that later!
Zakk has caught the "helping mommy cook" bug. Actually, now that I think about it, it's only when he wants cookies!
A few pictures from West Bottoms in February! Mom does such a great job setting everything up!
