School comes and goes every year but this is a big one because Zakk started going to Pre-K at Open Arms. He goes Monday-Thursday from 8-11 and much to my surprise, HE LOVES IT and I LOVE IT TO! I thought for sure I would have to leave him in his classroom crying but he walked right in and made himself comfortable. Now I don't have any reason not to go to the gym in the mornings!
There was one morning (so far) where we were running a bit late and even though they don't have assigned hooks for their backpacks, Zakk hangs his in the exact same spot every time. With us being a little late this time, someone else's backpack was in Zakk's spot...uh oh! He just stood there without saying a word, not knowing what to do. He turns and looks at me with tears welling up in his eyes and what else can I say, "it's ok, hang it up somewhere else" and he does and goes about his merry way. Whew...that was close one!
His teacher is actually the same teacher that Logan had when she was at Open Arms, which made things so nice and comfortable because I already knew she was a good teacher and that I loved her!
This is our trip the PRMS where Tyler brought her supplies in, received her schedule and made sure she could open her locker. We didn't meet her teacher this day but I have found out since then that I LOVE Mrs. Meddings. She has been amazing ever since the first day of school sending us emails as to everything that goes on during the day and keeps us parents involved so we can keep our kiddos on the right track. I wish she could journey with Tyler through middle school!
The girls thought it was hilarious that they could fit into the lockers!
And Tyler thought it was hilarious to try to shut the door on Logan! Logan didn't think it was quite so hilarious!

I didn't get any pics of Logan's back to school night because I was at Worlds of Fun with Tyler and her friends and of course, dad didn't get any pics! :( Same old thing here though...we're old pros at Madison Elementary. Her teacher is Mrs. Schmuhl this year and she's been at Madison ever since we've been there and even though Tyler never had her I knew that she was a great teacher and I was going to LOVE her to. The first day of school, I dropped Logan off just like she never took the summer off!
And Tyler rides with Holly to school so no pics in front of the girls schools this year!
Here is a pic of their backpacks this year! I splurged and had their names embroidered on the girls backpacks...maybe we'll get two years out of them! Zakk had to have his Minion backpack which I bought at K-Mart for $11, which I thought was a really good deal since you can't find licensed backpacks at Wal-Mart that cheap anymore! So it made up for the girls...a little!
It's going to be a GREAT school year with great teachers and I need to remember to take it in and enjoy it because it's not every year that I LOVE every one my kids teachers!!

I just adore that first picture of the 3 kiddos! Zakk's face is priceless! Here's to the great year continuing to go amazing!
