Halloween Haunt at Worlds of Fun

 A couple of weeks ago, we went to Worlds of Fun to enjoy Scare-Free Sunday at the park!  It's becoming a Halloween Tradition because we have gone for about 4 years now.  I remember going to Worlds of Fun when I was a kid but I don't remember The Halloween Haunt (i'm sure it was developed after my time) but it's still SUPER fun!  We went with Grandma & Grandpa Farr, Marcus & Angie and Sidney & Payton!  It was a blast!

In the midst of all my craft show busy season, we took advantage of this off-weekend and Kevin and I celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary at the Power & Light District the night before.  We ate at the Drunken Fish Sushi House which is in the running with Kyoto's (our favorite sushi place) for awesome sushi!  Then we went to see a movie downtown.  I'm very impressed with everything down at the Power & Light District.  They have really built it up nice!  I wish I had my camera with me to take pictures!

Back to Worlds of Fun!  It was a gorgeous day.  Much warmer than it should be this time of year but great to go to Worlds of Fun!

Our first ride was The Barrel Ride, or that's what we've called it since we were young but I think it's named something else.  You stand up against the wall and it spins really fast and the floor drops out.  Only Tyler, Logan, Marcus and Me were brave enough to start on this one.

While Tyler, Papa, Marcus and Kevin were riding The Fury of the Nile, the rest of us decided to quench our thirsts! WOF has the best slushy stand ever.  You get to mix a slush with several different flavors of slushy! Of course the girls had to try every kind!

At Planet Snoopy, they had a scavenger hunt and they had people set up at treasure chests handing out trinkets...bracelets, necklaces, eye patches, pirate hats and a bandana!

We never go to Planet Snoopy without seeing the show.  It's cute, all the snoopy characters put on a show and the kids get to go on stage and dance and then they take pictures after the show!  Payton didn't want to go on stage.  I probably wouldn't have either.  The size of the Snoopy Gang's Heads are larger than the boys are!  I can't believe Zakk actually got on stage because he wouldn't take a picture with Snoopy by himself in the park.

Zakk was having a rough day at Planet Snoopy! He didn't want to ride the boats or the airplane but the ride that he actually wanted to ride (the cars that drove in a circle), they told him he wasn't tall enough...poor buddy! It's rough being short!  He was happy after he rode the Monster Trucks and the Race Cars with his daddy!

I think he was actually more mad that, tyler, logan, sidney & payton were all in the boat behind him and he was by himself...tyler went to keep him company!

 They just redid Planet Snoopy from Camp Snoopy so there were some new rides and they were good ones...

We all enjoyed lots of rides and so did Tyler since this is her first year that she's been tall enough to ride some of the bigger kid rides!

We didn't get to ride The Viking Voyage at the beginning of the day because it wasn't open yet so we went back at the end of the day but found out it was closed again but this time it was closed because part of the power went out at the park.  And yes, people were stuck at the top of the Mamba.  I'm just glad that it wasn't any of us!  I wonder if anyone was stuck upside down? So we went to the Taxi's because they run on gas...right?
